In the Spotlight: Tinted Lip Balm by Human Nature
In today’s spotlight, we’ll be looking at another locally made cosmetic product: Tinted Lip Balm by Human Heart Nature. As a makeup artist living in a humid country like the Philippines, lip balms are a natural lifesaver. With really dry lips like mine, I am very particular about the lip balms I use so this review is kind of personal to me.
Without further ado, let’s get started.

Product Details: Keeps your lips moisturized and soft all day with a rich blend of all-natural plant oils, beeswax, and cocoa butter.
Shades: Pink Orchid (pink), Flame Tree (red), Island Kiss (coral)
Packaging: 3/5
The packaging has a nice sleek and chic feel to it but nothing really special. And like most lip balm packaging, it is hard to roll the product back when you try to twist and see it in full. You’d have to push it a little to keep it back, but not really a big issue. However, after a few tries, one of the rollers broke which is kind of a bummer. I guess it was just me being too excited and all, so just be extra careful when using the product to avoid breaking the roller.
Ease of Application: 5/5
Human Heart Nature’s Tinted Lip Balm has a nice, smooth feel to it when applying. It glides on the lips easily, and the cool tingle after application is something to love. You’d instantly feel the moisturizing texture the product promises, making it deserving of a perfect score!
Performance: 4/5
As I’ve mentioned earlier, humidity in the Philippines is the harshest thing that ever happened to makeup artists. So it is a great relief to have moisturizing lip balm such as Human Heart Nature’s. It stays true to its promise of keeping soft and moisturizing lips without giving an irritable feel. Tinted Lip Balm’s minty scent and flavor also add up to the “reasons-why-I-love-this-product” list. What makes this product even better is that it is an organic lip balm. Unlike other lip balms, it does not use any synthetic colorants which are reported to cause cancer.

I also have to point out how pigmented Flame Tree is, which has become my favorite shade among the selection so far. However, unlike the said shade, Pink Orchid and Island Kiss fell short in pigmentation. Unfortunately, the two did not sit well on my lips.
Staying Power: 3/5
Human Heart Nature’s Tinted Lip Balm does not give a heavy or waxy feel on my lips. However, it does not really last long on my lips and reapplying is needed constantly. The product only lasts for a good two hours, and gets totally removed after a meal.
Pricing: 5/5
The lip balm not being long lasting isn’t really a problem, as you can reapply it every time you need to. And you can do that without worrying about emptying the product. Human Heart Nature’s Tinted Lip Balm is affordable, so replacing it after consuming shouldn’t be a worry. In fact, I find it really cheap for its great performance.
Final Thoughts
Smooth application? Check! Organic and safe-to-use product? Check! Great performance without breaking the bank? Check! Will I recommend Tinted Lip Balm by Human Heart Nature to makeup artists in the Philippines? Definitely yes! For that, it deserves a 4-star rating!
